CAD/CAM Manager (Gerber Technology)

About the role

Salvus Industries, a Karachi-based manufacturer and exporter of certified safety garments and industrial workwear, is looking for a result-oriented CAD/CAM expert to lead its pre-production and cutting room operations. The role aims to cut fabric consumption, reduce cutting waste and build a fast, accurate digital workflow from pattern to cut panel.

Key responsibilities

• Lead pattern making, grading and marker planning on Gerber AccuMark
• Optimise marker efficiency with AccuNest and reduce fabric consumption per garment
• Run and maintain Gerber cutting systems and plan cutting schedules for on-time production
• Track and report marker efficiency, fabric utilisation and cutting waste
• Calculate accurate fabric consumption for costing and buyer quotations
• Convert buyer tech packs and patterns into production-ready markers
• Make patterns for workwear features such as reflective tape, reinforcements, multi-pocket layouts and FR fabric behaviour (shrinkage and stretch)
• Automate and standardise the digital workflow between CAD, cutting and production
• Train and supervise CAD operators and the cutting room team
• Work with merchandising, sampling and QC to resolve fit and pattern issues before bulk

Required profile

• 10+ years in CAD/CAM, pre-production or cutting room management
• Workwear, uniform or technical garment experience
• Export garment experience with international buyers
• Good knowledge of digital workflow automation and reporting

Required skills

• Expert knowledge of Gerber Technology (AccuMark, AccuNest, Gerber cutters)
• Strong pattern making and grading across size ranges for EU and US markets
• Preferred: experience with FR, Hi-Vis or coverall production; familiarity with PLM systems or ERP integration; experience setting up or upgrading a CAD department
