Car Technician

About the role

Suzuki Carachi Motors, an automotive company in Pakistan that provides vehicle sales and after-sales services, is hiring a Car Technician for a full-time, on-site position in the Karachi division. The technician performs routine maintenance, inspections and mechanical repairs on vehicles, including engine, transmission, brake, suspension and electrical systems, in a dynamic workshop with modern tools and diagnostic equipment.

Key responsibilities

• Diagnose vehicle issues using manual methods and diagnostic tools
• Complete service orders accurately and follow manufacturer guidelines and safety procedures
• Communicate findings to service advisors
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace
• Support the workshop team to deliver efficient, high-quality service

Required profile

• Strong knowledge of automotive systems: engine, transmission, braking, suspension and electrical components
• Ability to use diagnostic tools, service manuals and technical documentation to identify and resolve issues
• Skilled in routine maintenance such as oil changes, filter replacement, tire rotation and basic repairs
• Attention to detail in inspection, documentation and adherence to safety standards
• Effective communication with service advisors, colleagues and customers
• Ability to work in a fast-paced workshop and manage multiple service tasks
• Relevant technical certification or diploma in automotive technology or a related field is preferred; previous experience as an automotive technician or mechanic, ideally with Suzuki or similar brands, is an advantage
