Carton Packaging Estimator (Remote)

About the role

We are looking for a meticulous Carton Packaging Estimator to join our remote team at a leading manufacturer of folding cartons. The role focuses on producing accurate cost estimates for packaging projects, collaborating with sales, production, and design teams, and continuously improving pricing data.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare accurate and competitive cost estimates for folding‑carton packaging projects.
• Analyze packaging specifications, customer drawings, and production capabilities.
• Collaborate with sales, production, and design teams to define job scope and manufacturing requirements.
• Utilize historical cost data and supplier pricing to generate quotes.
• Maintain and update pricing databases and Excel‑based estimate sheets.
• Support customer inquiries with technical and cost‑related input.
• Monitor job costing performance to refine future estimations.
• Recommend cost‑saving alternatives in materials or production processes when applicable.

Required profile

• Proven experience estimating folding‑carton packaging projects.
• Working knowledge of printing processes such as offset printing and color matching.
• Exceptional attention to detail, strong mathematical and analytical abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (formulas, pivot tables, data analysis).
• Familiarity with packaging or print production software (ERP/MIS systems).
• Experience with structural design tools such as ArtiosCAD.
