Cloud Platform Implementation Specialist

About the role

We are looking for a Cloud Platform Implementation Specialist to design, deploy and maintain our virtualization infrastructure. The role focuses on VMware technologies and works closely with infrastructure, networking and security teams to ensure high availability and performance of business‑critical applications.

Key responsibilities

• Design, install and configure VMware vSphere, ESXi hosts and vCenter clusters.
• Manage virtual machines, resource pools, datastores and implement HA, DRS and vMotion.
• Administer VMware NSX (networking) and vSAN (software‑defined storage) where required.
• Plan and execute upgrades, patches and firmware updates with minimal downtime.
• Monitor health using vRealize Operations (Aria Operations) and resolve incidents proactively.
• Develop disaster‑recovery and business‑continuity plans using Site Recovery Manager or equivalent.
• Automate routine tasks with PowerCLI, PowerShell or Ansible.
• Maintain accurate documentation, SOPs and change‑management records.
• Provide Tier 2/3 support and participate in on‑call rotation for critical infrastructure.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 3 years of hands‑on experience administering VMware vSphere/ESXi in production.
• Strong knowledge of vCenter, vMotion, DRS, HA and vSAN.
• Experience with SAN/NAS storage integration, networking concepts (VLANs, TCP/IP, routing, firewalls) and backup/DR solutions such as Veeam or SRM.
• Proficiency in scripting/automation tools (PowerCLI, PowerShell, Ansible).
• Working knowledge of Windows Server and Linux administration.
• Excellent analytical and communication skills.
