Computer Operator

About the role

Our client SiliconWhiz is looking for a Computer Operator to join their team in Lahore. The role involves monitoring and managing computer systems and data‑center equipment to ensure smooth and secure operations.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and control computer systems and data‑center hardware.
• Perform regular backups and recovery operations to maintain data integrity.
• Execute routine security updates and system maintenance tasks.
• Document system performance, operational issues, and maintenance activities.
• Provide technical support for desktop applications and assist in troubleshooting.

Required profile

• 1‑2 years of experience as a computer operator or a similar role.
• High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree in computer science preferred.
• Ability to work full‑time on‑site with flexible shift availability.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently or in a team.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Windows operating system.
• Proficiency with Linux operating system.
• Knowledge of backup and recovery processes.
• Familiarity with computer hardware and data‑center equipment.
• Understanding of network protocols.
