Construction Manager (Indoors, Office Based)

About the role

This office-based Construction Manager oversees construction projects from conception to completion, working closely with architects, engineers and other specialists. The role covers schedule, budget, permits and safety, and is open to candidates with extensive experience in construction management.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee and direct construction projects from start to finish within the office setting.
• Review contracts, specifications, plans and drawings for compliance with regulations and project guidelines.
• Collaborate with architects, engineers and other construction specialists to keep projects aligned.
• Monitor schedules and deliverables so projects finish on time.
• Estimate costs, prepare budgets, manage expenses and implement cost-effective strategies.
• Coordinate regulatory inspections and obtain permits and licenses.
• Hold regular stakeholder meetings to report progress and address issues or changes.
• Maintain safety standards in line with regulations to protect workers.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture or a related field.
• Minimum of 6-10 years of experience in construction management or a related field.
• Professional certification such as PMP, CCM or equivalent is preferred.
• Proven experience in construction management, specifically in an indoor or office-based role.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of construction processes, materials and legal regulations.
• Project management and organizational skills; able to lead multiple projects at once.
• Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to interpret construction drawings, plans and schedules accurately.
