Construction Manager

About the role

A hands-on Construction Manager is sought to manage and supervise day-to-day construction activities at project sites. The ideal candidate is a practical, on-site civil professional who can independently run construction activities and ensure projects are delivered efficiently.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and supervise daily construction work at project sites
• Ensure work follows approved drawings, specifications, quality standards and timelines
• Coordinate with contractors, labour, engineers, architects and other stakeholders
• Monitor site progress, materials, manpower and work quality
• Identify and resolve on-site issues quickly
• Maintain site records, measurements and progress reports
• Ensure compliance with safety and construction standards
• Report progress and site issues to management

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a relevant qualification
• 3-5 years of proven on-site construction experience
• Previous experience as Construction Manager, Civil Manager, Assistant Construction Manager or similar
• Ability to supervise contractors, site teams and daily activities

Required skills

• Hands-on knowledge of civil construction, site execution and construction practices
• Monitoring of project progress, quality, materials and timelines
• Understanding of drawings, BOQs, measurements and site requirements
• Coordination with architects, engineers, contractors and clients
• Strong problem-solving and site management skills
