Consultant / Senior Consultant – Indirect Tax (MENA)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced tax professional to join our Indirect Tax team, advising clients on VAT treatment of complex transactions across the MENA region and supporting dispute resolution with tax authorities.

Key responsibilities

• Provide VAT advice on new and complex cross‑border transactions and assist in resolving classification disputes.
• Collaborate with a regional network of tax advisors, sharing knowledge and updating senior team members on progress.
• Prepare and deliver reports, schedules and other deliverables to clients and relevant parties.
• Develop deep expertise in Customs Law, free‑trade agreements, valuation, classification and origin rules.
• Maintain productive client relationships and support business development activities.

Required profile

• Relevant professional qualification (CA, CPA, ACCA, CTA, ADIT or equivalent).
• Minimum 3 years experience in indirect tax, customs advisory or VAT/GST.
• Strong written and oral communication skills in English.
• Ability to identify risk, conduct reviews and escalate issues appropriately.
• Project‑management capability with the ability to plan, prioritize and meet deadlines.
• Experience in a Big 4 or similar professional services environment is a plus.
