Continuity Specialist - Healthcare

About the role

The Continuity Specialist provides temporary coverage for EDGE talent who are on leave, ensuring uninterrupted service for clients in the US healthcare and insurance sector. When not on a coverage assignment, the specialist supports EDGE operations, Marketplace, and EDU initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Step into temporary client assignments, quickly adapting to workflows, systems, and communication standards.
• Perform daily tasks of the absent talent while maintaining quality and productivity expectations.
• Conduct comprehensive eligibility checks, verify benefits, and document information in practice management systems.
• Prepare, submit, and track prior authorization requests, including appeals for denied authorizations.
• Handle scheduling and patient‑centric communication, ensuring clear information flow.
• Maintain confidentiality and professionalism across multiple client environments.
• Communicate proactively with EDGE and client stakeholders about workload, priorities, and handover requirements.

Required profile

• Experience in healthcare administration, insurance verification, or prior‑authorization processes.
• Ability to adapt quickly to new client systems and workflows.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Professionalism and ability to maintain confidentiality.
