Customs Clearance Agent

About the role

We are seeking a Customs Clearance Agent to manage UK import and export shipments. The role involves ensuring smooth customs processing, accurate documentation, and timely resolution of issues.

Key responsibilities

• Manage customs clearance for UK inbound and outbound shipments.
• Prepare, verify and submit all required customs documentation.
• Coordinate with freight forwarders, customs authorities and clients to facilitate clearance.
• Ensure compliance with UK customs laws and regulations.
• Resolve customs‑related issues and mitigate shipment delays.
• Maintain accurate records of shipments and clearance activities.
• Communicate effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders.

Required profile

• Proven experience in UK customs clearance and freight operations.
• Strong knowledge of UK customs regulations and documentation.
• Excellent communication and problem‑solving abilities.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• High attention to detail and strong organisational skills.

Required skills

• Microsoft Office proficiency.
• Familiarity with customs‑related software systems.
