Cyber Security Analyst (Remote)

About the role

We are seeking a Cyber Security Analyst to join a global leader in technology, working fully remotely. The role focuses on monitoring, analyzing, and responding to security events to protect critical systems and data across multiple time zones.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and analyze security events from SIEM tools, firewalls, and IDS/IPS systems.
• Investigate security incidents to determine scope, impact, and root cause.
• Implement and maintain security controls to mitigate risks.
• Conduct vulnerability assessments and recommend remediation actions.
• Prepare detailed incident reports documenting findings and recommendations.

Required profile

• Strong problem‑solving skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote environment.

Required skills

• Experience with SIEM platforms such as Splunk or QRadar.
• Knowledge of firewalls, IDS/IPS and network security protocols.
• Familiarity with vulnerability assessment tools like Nessus, OpenVAS, or Qualys.
• Understanding of security frameworks such as NIST, ISO 27001, or CIS Controls.
• Ability to analyze logs and network traffic for anomalies.
• Experience with incident response procedures and best practices.
