Data Infrastructure Engineer (Remote)

About the role

We are seeking a skilled Data Infrastructure Engineer to design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and infrastructure for a global software development leader. This fully remote, full‑time position works closely with cross‑functional teams to deliver reliable data solutions that drive business insights.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and optimise ETL/ELT pipelines for large‑scale data extraction, transformation, and loading.
• Implement and maintain data warehouses and data lakes to support analytical and operational reporting.
• Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to ensure data accessibility, integrity, and quality.
• Monitor pipeline performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure high reliability and efficiency.
• Document data architecture, processes, and standards for team reference and compliance.

Required profile

• Strong proficiency in SQL and experience with both relational and NoSQL databases.
• Hands‑on experience with ETL/ELT tools such as Airflow, Spark, or comparable frameworks.
• Solid understanding of data modelling and warehouse design principles.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) for data infrastructure.
• Excellent problem‑solving skills with a focus on scalability and performance.
