AI Automation Specialist

About the role

CMH METLABS is seeking an AI Automation Specialist to boost operational efficiency across its chemical testing and metallurgy laboratories. You will work closely with laboratory, operations, and business teams to turn repetitive tasks into intelligent, automated workflows.

Key responsibilities

• Assess existing laboratory and administrative workflows to pinpoint automation opportunities.
• Design, build, test, and maintain AI‑assisted workflows, integrations, and business process automations.
• Connect forms, documents, and data sources using APIs, automation platforms, scripts, and structured data practices.
• Develop prompts, validation rules, documentation, and monitoring controls to ensure accurate AI outputs.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements, provide training, and support adoption of AI tools.
• Monitor automation performance, troubleshoot issues, and enforce appropriate controls.

Required profile

• Hands‑on experience with AI tools, generative AI, and workflow automation.
• Strong understanding of prompt design, output validation, and responsible AI use.
• Practical programming or scripting ability in Python or JavaScript.
• Experience with APIs, webhooks, JSON, spreadsheets, databases, and system integrations.
• Ability to map processes, identify bottlenecks, and translate business needs into reliable solutions.
• Familiarity with automation platforms such as Power Automate, Zapier, Make, or n8n.
• Knowledge of data privacy, access control, version management, testing, monitoring, and error handling.
• Excellent analytical, documentation, and communication skills.
