Delivery Associate - UPSCALE II

About the role

Adam Smith International is recruiting a Delivery Associate for the UK-Pakistan Serious Crime and Law Enforcement (UPSCALE) II programme, a UK Government-funded project running from April 2026 to March 2027. The project addresses cross-border crime in areas such as irregular migration, criminal record sharing, child sexual exploitation and abuse, and countering narcotics. The assignment is based in Islamabad and runs from December 2026 to March 2027.

Key responsibilities

• Work with the Workstream Lead to deliver reform activities, monitor progress against indicators and outputs, and contribute to monthly and quarterly progress reports.
• Maintain documentation such as workstream reports, meeting minutes, presentation decks and briefing notes, and keep project files organised digitally.
• Collect, clean and analyse quantitative and qualitative data using Excel, and track indicators and emerging trends.
• Plan and run workstream events such as workshops and trainings, handling participant logistics, materials and data entry.
• Support engagements with Pakistani and UK government counterparts, draft briefing documents and take accurate notes.
• Mainstream Gender Equality and Social Inclusion (GESI) and sustainability into project delivery, and apply political economy analysis to adapt programming.
• Develop communication strategies, share project learnings and attend ASI corporate trainings.

Required profile

• Minimum 16+ years of education from a reputable university; an undergraduate degree in a relevant subject is essential.
• 3-5 years of relevant work experience.
• Basic technical understanding of one or more project topics (criminal justice cooperation, irregular migration, criminal record sharing, countering narcotics, illicit finance, community protection).
• Knowledge of monitoring and evaluation, and of the political, GESI, sustainability and cultural context.
