Department Manager – Delivery Solutions

About the role

METRO Pakistan is seeking a Department Manager to lead its Delivery Solutions function. You will ensure that customer orders are delivered accurately, on time, and with a high level of service across our wholesale network.

Key responsibilities

• Organise and manage deliveries to customers, ensuring correct quantity and specifications.
• Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of orders, stock levels and lead efficient, hands‑on delivery operations.
• Coordinate closely with Operations, Store Management, Head Office, Buyers, Field Sales and the Delivery team.
• Verify daily fuel costs, handle related documentation and report expenses.
• Update delivery KPIs on a daily basis and monitor performance.
• Address customer complaints, gather feedback and propose corrective actions.
• Communicate fuel expenses, fixed costs and third‑party vehicle charges to Head Office.
• Monitor competitor promotions and provide insights to the Buying Department.
• Maintain accurate customer files, conduct regular visits and analyse top‑customer needs.
• Develop and execute action plans, campaigns and turnover performance reviews.

Required profile

• Intermediate education with 8+ years of relevant experience, or a graduate degree with less than 8 years of experience.
• Strong communication, interpersonal and team‑leadership abilities.
• Effective analytical and decision‑making skills.
• Result‑oriented and customer‑focused mindset.
