Department Manager - Fresh Meat & Fish

About the role
The Department Manager for Fresh Meat & Fish will oversee daily operations, ensuring optimal stock levels, product presentation, and a clean, efficient department. Reporting to the CEM, you will lead a team of store associates to meet sales targets and maintain high standards.
Key responsibilities
- Assist the CEM with stock ordering and maintain optimum inventory levels.
- Lead store associates in mass merchandising, shelf and stock management, and department cleanliness.
- Drive productivity improvements and support the FM in achieving sales targets.
- Execute night‑time mechanizing of the department following DSO protocols and ensure readiness before store opening.
- Present products according to planograms and set up secondary displays per BMPL guidelines.
- Ensure compliance with SOPs, company policies, and uniform standards.
- Conduct QA checks, track product expiries, and apply FIFO principles.
Required profile
- Bachelor's degree or Intermediate qualification.
- Minimum 6 years of experience in retail or department management.
