Department Manager - Fresh Meat & Fish

About the role

METRO Pakistan (Pvt) Limited, part of METRO Group's METRO Cash & Carry wholesale business, is hiring a Department Manager for its fresh meat and fish department in Multan. The post reports to the Customer Experience Manager (CEM) and covers stock ordering, department leadership and sales support.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with stock ordering and maintain optimum stock levels in the department.
• Lead Store Associates in mass merchandising, shelf management, stock management and departmental cleanliness.
• Improve productivity and operational efficiency within the department.
• Help the CEM achieve departmental sales targets.
• Ensure overnight department preparation follows Dark Store Operations (DSO) protocols and readiness before store opening.
• Keep product presentation in line with the planogram and ensure compliance with SOPs, company policies and protocols.
• Maintain punctuality, discipline and professional attire in line with uniform guidelines.
• Carry out quality assurance checks using defined protocols and checklists.
• Monitor product expiry dates during and after deliveries and enforce FIFO (First In, First Out).
• Ensure effective stock and shelf management.

Required profile

• Graduation with less than 6 years of relevant experience, or Intermediate with 6 or more years of relevant experience.
