Department Manager People & Culture

About the role

METRO Pakistan is seeking a Department Manager for People & Culture to lead HR strategy across its wholesale network. You will be responsible for shaping policies, driving employee engagement, and ensuring compliance with labour regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement People & Culture policies and procedures aligned with business goals.
• Monitor HR analytics to improve employee productivity.
• Design and launch employee engagement initiatives.
• Identify critical roles and manage succession planning.
• Build organisational capability in line with the company strategy.
• Support operations and sales teams in talent identification and development.
• Oversee performance‑management processes and provide facilitation to stakeholders.
• Prepare and manage monthly payroll, including attendance, leaves, PF, promotions, transfers and grievance handling.
• Lead employee‑relations activities and ensure compliance with all labour laws.

Required profile

• Minimum Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Human Resources.
• Strong communication skills.
• Good command of MS Office.
• 3‑5 years of relevant HR experience.
