Deputy Manager Contract Management

About the role

The Deputy Manager Contract Management will lead the end‑to‑end contract lifecycle for a public‑sector organization, ensuring contracts are commercially sound, legally compliant and aligned with policy frameworks. This role acts as the primary liaison between internal stakeholders, vendors and the legal team to safeguard contractual performance and mitigate risk.

Key responsibilities

• Draft, review and finalize contracts, purchase agreements, SLAs, NDAs, MoUs and framework agreements.
• Manage contract administration, milestone tracking, change orders, variation management and performance monitoring against KPIs and payment schedules.
• Maintain a centralized, auditable contract repository and coordinate renewals, extensions and terminations.
• Support procurement by preparing tender documents (RFX) and providing contract input throughout the procurement cycle.
• Identify, assess and manage contractual risks; handle claims, back charges, penalties and dispute resolution.
• Collaborate with the Legal team on escalated matters, including arbitration and litigation.
• Serve as the main point of contact for contract‑related queries and prepare periodic reports for senior management.
• Ensure compliance with PPRA framework, Contract Act 1872, administrative law and internal SOPs; contribute to policy and template development.

Required profile

• University degree in Business Management, Procurement, Supply Chain, Contract Management or related field; law degree or master’s preferred.
• 6‑7 years progressive contract management experience, with at least 3 years in a public‑sector or state‑owned enterprise.
• Proven track record in high‑value tendering and managing contracts across civil works, IT/technology, professional services, goods/supplies and consultancy.
• Knowledge of PPRA Framework, Contract Act 1872 and administrative law applicable to SOEs.
• Certification in Contract Management is a plus.
