Deputy Manager Contract Management

About the role

The Deputy Manager Contract Management will lead the end‑to‑end contract lifecycle for a public‑sector organization, ensuring all agreements are commercially sound, legally compliant, and aligned with internal policies and national regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Draft, review and finalize contracts, purchase agreements, SLAs, NDAs, MoUs and related documents.
• Maintain contract summaries, risk registers and obligation trackers for senior management.
• Oversee contract administration, milestone tracking, change orders and variation management.
• Monitor performance against KPIs, SLAs and payment schedules, flagging deviations for timely resolution.
• Support procurement by preparing tender documents and providing contract input throughout the procurement cycle.
• Identify, assess and manage contractual risks; handle claims, back charges, penalties and dispute resolution.
• Coordinate with legal teams on escalated matters, including arbitration and litigation.
• Serve as primary contact for internal and external contract queries and prepare periodic status reports.
• Ensure compliance with PPRA framework, Contract Act 1872 and other applicable regulations.

Required profile

• University degree in Business Management, Procurement, Supply Chain, Contract Management or related field; law degree or master’s preferred.
• 6‑7 years progressive contract‑management experience, with at least 3 years in a public‑sector or state‑owned enterprise.
• Proven track record in high‑value tendering and managing contracts across civil works, IT/technology, professional services, goods/supplies and consultancy.
• Working knowledge of PPRA framework, Contract Act 1872 and administrative law applicable to SOEs.
