About the role
The Deputy Manager – Industrial Relations will oversee industrial relations and ensure full compliance with labour and statutory regulations at the Thar site. You will act as a key liaison with regulatory bodies, advise senior management on compliance matters, and resolve employee relations issues.
Key responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with all applicable labour and industrial regulations, including FA, SIRA, EOBI, SESSI, WPPF/WWF, and other statutory requirements.
- Coordinate with regulatory authorities and government institutions on compliance‑related matters.
- Provide timely advice and support to management on industrial relations, labour law, and regulatory issues.
- Resolve employee relations and compliance matters at both site and Head Office level.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with local regulatory stakeholders to support smooth business operations.
- Monitor changes in labour legislation and ensure organizational compliance.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Law, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
- 5‑6 years of experience in industrial relations, statutory compliance, labour‑law compliance, or regulatory coordination, preferably in industrial, manufacturing, power or energy sectors.
- Strong knowledge of Pakistan’s and Sindh’s industrial, labour, and commercial laws.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with proficiency in English (local language knowledge is a plus).
