Director of Procurement & Supply Chain

About the role

Riphah International University is seeking an accomplished procurement leader to head enterprise-wide procurement and supply chain operations across its education, healthcare, construction and technology businesses in Islamabad. The Director will drive operational excellence, strategic sourcing and digital transformation for a diversified portfolio.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute enterprise-wide procurement strategies aligned with institutional goals.
• Lead procurement activities for educational campuses, hospital construction, medical equipment and operational services.
• Establish robust governance and compliance frameworks for all purchasing functions.
• Drive cost optimisation and improve operational efficiency across the supply chain.
• Build and maintain strategic supplier partnerships.
• Lead digital procurement and supply-chain transformation initiatives, including AI-driven solutions.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, Finance or a related discipline.
• Professional certifications such as CIPS, CPSM, ISM or CSCP (advantageous).
• Minimum 15 years of progressive procurement experience, with at least 7 years in a senior leadership role.
• Proven experience in education, healthcare, large infrastructure projects or multinational organisations.
