Distributed Cache & DevOps Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a technically strong Distributed Cache & DevOps Engineer to provide operational, technical, and production support for distributed caching solutions. The role blends Java backend engineering, cache troubleshooting, and Kubernetes‑based platform operations.

Key responsibilities

• Provide L2/L3 support for Hazelcast, Redis/Redis Cluster, and Apache Ignite cache clusters.
• Monitor cluster health, memory utilization, latency, and throughput; handle incidents such as split‑brain, node restarts, and data inconsistency.
• Assist with capacity planning, performance tuning, and configuration management.
• Analyze Java application behavior, troubleshoot JVM issues, and support Spring Boot microservices interacting with the cache.
• Deploy and manage cache platforms on Kubernetes, handling pods, services, configmaps, secrets, and stateful workloads.
• Work with CI/CD pipelines, TLS/mTLS certificates, and coordinate with vendor support for patches and upgrades.
• Monitor metrics using AppDynamics, Splunk, Prometheus, Grafana, or ELK and participate in incident management and RCA reporting.

Required profile

• Strong background in Java development and enterprise caching technologies.
• Hands‑on experience with distributed cache platforms (Hazelcast, Redis, Apache Ignite).
• Proficiency in Kubernetes and containerized environments.
• Ability to troubleshoot performance, memory, and networking issues in production.
