Dry Bulk Operations & Chartering Executive

About the role

The Dry Bulk Operations & Chartering Executive will manage the full commercial lifecycle of dry‑bulk fixtures, linking chartering, vessel masters, port agents and international charterers to protect margins from fixture recap to final settlement.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and audit complex voyage estimations, including bunker consumption, port costs and Time Charter Equivalent analysis.
• Review vessel technical documents (Q88, class certificates, P&I coverage, RightShip profiles) to ensure compliance.
• Analyse charter party and rider clauses to identify commercial risks before execution.
• Issue Voyage Instructions, manage port agents, and audit disbursement accounts against official tariffs.
• Oversee cargo documentation, NOR, SOF, bills of lading, LOIs and hatch‑sealing procedures.
• Monitor vessel performance, track noon reports and resolve laytime, demurrage and dispatch claims.

Required profile

• 2–5 years of experience in dry‑bulk vessel operations or post‑fixture management.
• Advanced laytime fluency and ability to calculate live demurrage claims during interview.
• Deep knowledge of GENCON, time charter parties, deadfreight, liens and port delivery terms.
• Strong analytical skills with Excel for voyage P&L modelling.
• Professional English communication for interaction with owners, managers and charterers across time zones.
