Duty Supervisor – Airport Operations

About the role

Etihad Airways is seeking a Duty Supervisor to lead airport operations on a shift basis. You will be responsible for coordinating passenger and aircraft handling, ensuring safety, security, and service standards are met while supporting the airline’s commitment to an exceptional travel experience.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee all passenger and aircraft handling activities during your shift, adhering to checklists, brand standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Manage safety and security outcomes through hazard identification, monitoring, reporting, and corrective actions.
• Coordinate VIP, MAAS, PRM, and special guest requirements, including flight editing and special category handling.
• Liaise with Guest Control, Network Control, and SOC to mitigate operational disruptions and maintain service integrity.
• Execute and rehearse emergency response, disruption, diversion, and business continuity plans.
• Drive on‑time performance by coordinating mitigation actions and reporting delays.
• Promote ancillary sales, monitor process compliance, and achieve related targets.
• Ensure compliance with local authority documentation and reporting requirements.

Required profile

• Degree‑level education (A‑level or baccalaureate equivalent) or equivalent industry experience.
• 5–7 years of experience in service, hospitality, airline, or retail environments, with solid knowledge of aviation and airport policies.
• Previous supervisory experience in a high‑pressure, multicultural shift environment.
• Strong communication, leadership, and decision‑making abilities.
