Electrical Systems Specialist – Remote Contract

About the role

We are seeking an Electrical Systems Specialist to work remotely on a contract basis, supporting field operations for a global engineering services leader. The role involves diagnosing, maintaining, and upgrading electrical installations across industrial and commercial sites while ensuring safety compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct on‑site inspections and diagnostics of electrical systems to identify malfunctions or inefficiencies.
• Coordinate with cross‑functional teams to plan and execute system upgrades, repairs, and field operations.
• Ensure all work complies with NFPA 70E, OSHA, and local electrical safety regulations.
• Document findings, maintenance logs, and compliance reports for internal and client review.
• Troubleshoot complex electrical issues using specialized testing equipment.

Required profile

• Proven experience in electrical system diagnostics and field operations within industrial or commercial environments.
• Ability to travel to client sites as needed, including occasional overnight stays.

Required skills

• Reading and interpreting electrical schematics, blueprints and technical manuals.
• Knowledge of NFPA 70E, OSHA and local electrical safety standards.
• Hands‑on use of multimeters, oscilloscopes and thermal imagers.
