Electrical Systems Specialist (Remote)

About the role

We are seeking an Electrical Systems Specialist to support a global engineering services leader on a contract basis. The position is fully remote, allowing you to work from anywhere while travelling to client sites as needed to perform inspections, upgrades and repairs of industrial and commercial electrical installations.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct on‑site inspections and diagnostics of electrical systems to identify malfunctions or inefficiencies.
• Coordinate with cross‑functional teams to plan and execute field operations for system upgrades or repairs.
• Ensure all work complies with electrical codes, NFPA 70E, OSHA standards and local safety regulations.
• Document technical findings, maintenance logs and compliance reports for internal and client review.
• Troubleshoot complex electrical issues using specialized testing equipment.

Required profile

• Proven experience in electrical system diagnostics and field operations within industrial or commercial environments.
• Ability to travel to multiple client locations, including occasional overnight stays.
• Strong attention to safety and regulatory compliance.

Required skills

• Electrical system diagnostics
• Reading and interpreting electrical schematics, blueprints and technical manuals
• Knowledge of NFPA 70E and OSHA electrical safety regulations
• Use of multimeters, oscilloscopes and thermal imaging cameras
