Email Marketing & CRM Specialist

About the role

A remote, full-time Email Marketing & CRM Specialist position focused on e-commerce email campaigns, automation flows and customer segmentation. Shortlisted candidates are asked to record a short 2-5 minute Loom video introducing themselves and showing examples of their past work.

Key responsibilities

• Build and manage weekly and monthly email calendars (about 1-2 newsletters per week) and run promotional, educational, product story and community campaigns, suggesting new ideas to grow engagement and revenue.
• Plan full email sequences for product launches, pre-launches and limited drops, including teasers, announcements, reminders and follow-ups, and run seasonal campaigns such as Black Friday and Christmas.
• Audit existing flows, build and optimise welcome series, abandoned cart and checkout, browse abandonment, post-purchase, cross-sell and upsell, win-back and loyalty flows.
• Build customer segments by purchase behaviour and engagement, track KPIs such as open rate, click rate, conversion, revenue per recipient and email revenue, run A/B tests and monitor deliverability and list health.
• Share regular performance reports with clear recommendations.
• Write subject lines, copy and CTAs, design mobile-friendly emails, write in English and localise into natural German (AI tools welcome, final quality must be strong).

Required profile

• Proven e-commerce email marketing experience.
• Excellent written English and the ability to produce quality German content with AI support.
• Proactive, self-driven working style.
• Nice to have: Shopify experience, background in outdoor, bushcraft, hunting, fishing or EDC products, experience with international e-commerce brands, and AI-assisted content workflows.

Required skills

• Hands-on experience with Klaviyo and/or Omnisend.
• Solid grasp of automation, segmentation and e-commerce KPIs.
• Ability to create email copy and designs independently.
