Executive – Import Documentation

About the role

MSC Mediterranean Shipping Company is seeking an experienced and detail‑oriented professional to manage import shipment documentation. The Executive – Import Documentation will ensure timely and accurate filing of Import General Manifests (IGM) and maintain compliance with customs regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, review and submit Import General Manifests (IGM) to customs within prescribed timelines.
• Coordinate import documentation with customers, terminals, customs authorities and internal teams.
• Respond to customer and port‑of‑loading inquiries, investigate and resolve import‑related issues.
• Process and issue customs amendments based on consignee or port‑of‑loading requests.
• Attend and, when required, supervise customs hearings related to amendment cases.
• Collaborate closely with Customer Service, Commercial and Counter teams to ensure efficient query resolution.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, business administration, marketing or a related field.
• 1–2 years of experience in a similar role within the shipping industry.
• Strong knowledge of import procedures, cargo clearance and customs regulations.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team under tight deadlines.
