Executive Microwave Configurations Engineer

About the role

The position focuses on configuring and optimizing microwave (MW) transmission networks. The incumbent will work on traffic re‑routing, capacity upgrades, and the management of Huawei and Ericsson microwave equipment to ensure reliable service delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Perform traffic re‑routing at both port and microwave link levels.
• Shift drop nodes and create or modify link aggregation groups.
• Execute soft capacity upgrades, including frequency optimization, modulation upgrades, and channel bandwidth enhancements.
• Optimize E1 interfaces for capacity provisioning.
• Manage Huawei and Ericsson products, including creation of new network elements and visibility of microwave links.
• Troubleshoot and configure DCN and media (Ethernet & TDM) settings.
• Delete obsolete media, conduct end‑to‑end network inspections, and audit performance.
• Create utilization and performance instances, as well as Abis‑over‑IP services.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or Telecommunications from an HEC‑recognized university.
• Up to 2 years of relevant experience in microwave network configuration and maintenance.
• Strong analytical abilities and strategic thinking.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.

Required skills

• Working knowledge of Huawei microwave products.
• Working knowledge of Ericsson microwave products.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
• Proficiency with Microsoft PowerPoint.
