Fashion Designer - Embroidery Collections

About the role

Subhan Tex Embroidery, a Lahore-based embroidery manufacturer and fashion design partner, is hiring a full-time, on-site Fashion Designer. The designer works closely with the design room and production teams to turn seasonal collections from concept to production, covering embroidery layouts, fabric selection, colour palettes and embellishment details.

Key responsibilities

• Develop design concepts and prepare technical drawings
• Coordinate fittings and adjust patterns for fit and comfort
• Translate brand requirements into production-ready designs for machine embroidery, handwork and related techniques
• Collaborate with sampling and quality control teams and review prototypes
• Contribute to trend research, mood boards and client presentations
• Maintain clear communication with internal teams and partner brands

Required profile

• Strong fashion design skills, including sketching, concept development and collection building
• Practical expertise in embroidery, including machine embroidery, hand embellishment and surface design
• Solid textile knowledge: fabrics, construction, drape and suitability for embroidery and garment styles
• Experience in fitting, pattern adjustments and turning design ideas into garments with accurate sizing
• A relevant diploma or degree in Fashion Design, Textile Design or a related field is preferred
• Advantageous: prior apparel or embroidery-based fashion experience, and strong communication and collaboration skills in a fast-paced workshop setting

Required skills

• Design software such as Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop or CAD tools (beneficial)
• Knowledge of production processes
• Attention to detail in colour and trim selection
