Finance Business Partner & Cost Controller

About the role

This position provides financial planning and analysis (FP&A) support to business leaders, delivering insights, forecasts and performance analysis that enable informed decision‑making. Acting as a trusted partner, the role combines strong financial expertise with analytical capabilities to drive performance, support strategic initiatives and ensure alignment with organisational objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with business leaders across segments, offering insight, challenge and support for decisions.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting and planning processes in collaboration with the wider FP&A function.
• Prepare and present financial analysis, management reports and performance commentary.
• Analyse results, identify drivers, explain variances and highlight risks and opportunities.
• Develop and enhance cost‑controlling activities across businesses and services.
• Challenge assumptions, support business cases and contribute to profitability improvement initiatives.
• Work closely with leaders to understand commercial developments and financial implications.
• Ensure consistency between management reporting, planning assumptions and accounting outcomes.
• Support preparation of presentations and financial materials for senior‑management discussions.
• Contribute to the evolution of FP&A processes, reporting standards and performance‑management tools.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in finance, accounting, economics or a related field.
• Solid finance background with strong understanding of financial statements and accounting principles.
• Relevant experience in FP&A, business partnering or controlling, preferably in a complex corporate environment.
• Experience in a Big 4 accounting firm is a plus.
• Excellent analytical abilities and a structured, detail‑oriented working style.
• Strong communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
