Finance Director (CFO) – Strategic Business Partner

About the role

The Finance Director (CFO) will lead the finance function in Pakistan, partnering with the General Manager and senior leadership to set strategic direction, ensure robust financial stewardship and drive business growth for GSK.

Key responsibilities

• Manage financial reporting processes and ensure compliance with local statutory, tax and regulatory requirements.
• Provide finance partnering support to the Pakistan market and commercial teams, including ROI, pricing, tenders and working capital management.
• Drive value‑enhancing projects, resource allocation and bold investment decisions.
• Partner across the enterprise to support new product launches from business case development through execution.
• Lead enterprise risk management, scenario planning and business continuity initiatives.
• Oversee strategic portfolio, investment and capital allocation decisions to maximise growth and profitability.
• Champion finance transformation, simplification and data‑driven decision making.
• Ensure effective cash flow, liquidity and capital management while optimising working capital performance.
• Drive productivity, cost optimisation and value‑creation initiatives to support sustainable double‑digit growth.
• Fulfil statutory responsibilities as a Board member, overseeing commercial, manufacturing sites and hub office functions.
• Manage planning updates with the Planning Hub and Market Finance teams, aligning assumptions, risks and opportunities.
• Lead design of financial processes, audit oversight and reporting, and build high‑performing finance teams.
• Engage with auditors, regulators, banking partners and external stakeholders on key financial and governance matters.

Required profile

• Professional accounting qualification such as CA, CPA or FCA.
• Proven experience leading a finance function in a listed entity and serving on a Board of Directors.
• Strong knowledge of financial governance, regulatory compliance and statutory reporting.
• Demonstrated ability to partner with senior business leaders and drive strategic financial decisions.
• Experience in managing large, multi‑site organisations and complex market environments.
