Financial Controller – Remote

About the role

Lead global finance operations for Trilogy, overseeing a team of Senior Accountants while staying hands‑on with invoices, payments, reconciliations and allocations. You will diagnose accounting errors, coach the team to prevent repeats, and drive AI‑powered automation to reduce manual work.

Key responsibilities

• Run day‑to‑day finance operations, prioritising work by deadlines, business impact and risk.
• Inspect finance dashboards and outputs to ensure accuracy of bills, invoices, payments, bank transactions, reconciliations, control accounts, revenue and spend allocations.
• Diagnose quality failures, identify root causes and produce evidence‑based coaching to correct and prevent errors.
• Identify and implement AI, LLM and automation opportunities to improve speed and accuracy of finance processes.

Required profile

• Degree in Accounting or Finance and a professional qualification (CPA, ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
• Experience with at least five Big 4 audits, either as auditor or client.
• Background in a $100M+ revenue organization with hands‑on AP, AR, bank and control‑account reconciliations, and revenue/spend allocation.
• People‑management experience with direct responsibility for finance professionals.
• Ability to work US business hours.

Required skills

• Embedding AI or LLM tools into high‑volume finance transaction workflows.
• Automation platforms such as n8n, Lovable, Claude Code or similar.
