Financial Management Officer – Islamabad

About the role

The Asian Development Bank is seeking a Financial Management Officer to join its mission of fostering prosperity across Asia. Based in the Pakistan Resident Mission in Islamabad, you will provide operational financial services, conduct due‑diligence on projects, support country‑wide financial management assessments, and lead capacity‑building initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Manage APFS/AEFS reviews for assigned projects, monitor compliance, and ensure financial covenant adherence.
• Lead financial due‑diligence activities, including assessments, cost estimates, financing plans, sustainability analyses, and risk‑mitigation measures.
• Support project implementation through FM‑related missions, monitoring action plans, and maintaining project data in ADB systems.
• Contribute to country and regional FM strategy, tracking system developments that affect project performance.
• Participate in FM training, conferences, and knowledge‑building activities; design and deliver capacity‑building programs for clients and audit firms.
• Perform additional tasks as outlined in the work plan.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance, preferably with advanced training.
• Professional accounting qualification from an IFAC‑affiliated institution.
• Minimum eight years of experience in private or public‑sector financial management.
• Experience with international financial institutions on sovereign and non‑sovereign transactions is advantageous.
