Grid Manager / Area Sales Manager

About the role

The Grid Manager (also referred to as Area Sales Manager) is responsible for driving sales, revenue, and business development across a defined geographic grid. The role focuses on expanding 3G/4G mobile broadband services, increasing channel visibility, and optimizing cell site utilization.

Key responsibilities

• Lead revenue growth for 3G, 4G, and mobile broadband products, including handset sales through new and existing smartphone shops.
• Ensure high-quality gross adds for 3G/4G services and expand channel offerings such as SIM sales, VAS, MNP, and postpaid plans.
• Coordinate trade marketing activities, brand visibility, BTL promotions, and special events within the territory.
• Identify untapped market areas, guide BDOs on sales routing, and submit accurate sales forecasts for SIMs, scratch cards, and recharges.
• Oversee staff and retailer training, stock availability, and compliance with SOPs, targets, and trade promotions.
• Maintain POS material at outlets and collaborate with technical teams to maximize network resources and utilization.

Required profile

• Minimum Bachelor’s degree from a recognized university.
• Proven experience in telecom sales, channel development, or related business development roles.
• Strong understanding of 3G/4G mobile broadband products and network utilization.

Required skills

• Knowledge of 3G, 4G, LTE, and mobile broadband services.
• Familiarity with trade marketing, channel expansion, and sales forecasting.
