Group Director – Platform & Infrastructure Services

About the role

Pakistan Telecommunication Company Limited (PTCL Group) is looking for a visionary Group Director to lead Platform & Infrastructure Services. The role will shape the design, deployment and lifecycle of the company’s IT infrastructure, supporting PTCL’s digital transformation agenda across the nation.

Key responsibilities

• Lead design, implementation and lifecycle management of all IT platform and infrastructure solutions.
• Oversee daily operations of Windows, Linux/Unix systems, enterprise servers and databases.
• Manage storage, backup, archiving and end‑user support services to meet reliability KPIs.
• Drive budgeting, financial planning and asset lifecycle management for infrastructure assets.
• Ensure compliance with internal policies, change and configuration management, and SLA commitments.
• Build and mentor a high‑performing infrastructure and NOC team while maintaining strong vendor and partner relationships.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional departments to deliver seamless IT services and drive technology modernization.
• Maintain security, audit and operational standards across the infrastructure domain.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field.
• 10‑15 years of senior‑level experience in IT infrastructure leadership, preferably in telecom or large enterprises.
• Proven record of budget management and successful project delivery.
• Excellent leadership, communication and stakeholder management abilities.
