Guest Receiving Officer (GRO)

About the role

Cosa Nostra, a Lahore-based restaurant serving Italian cuisine and contemporary dining, is hiring a Guest Receiving Officer (GRO) for an on-site position. The GRO creates a warm, organized welcome for guests and supports smooth front-of-house operations.

Key responsibilities

• Welcome guests promptly and courteously, confirm party size and manage seating with service staff.
• Handle reservations, walk-ins, waitlists and guest inquiries while keeping accurate, up-to-date records.
• Communicate seating plans, special requests and guest needs clearly to restaurant teams.
• Monitor entrance and dining room flow to keep arrivals orderly and comfortable.
• Respond professionally to feedback or service concerns and refer issues to a supervisor when needed.
• Maintain a polished host area and follow restaurant standards for presentation and guest service.

Required profile

• Excellent verbal communication and a courteous, guest-focused manner.
• Ability to welcome guests, assess seating needs and coordinate table allocation efficiently.
• Experience or competence managing reservations, walk-ins, waitlists and basic guest records.
• Clear coordination with servers, floor supervisors and other front-of-house staff.
• Strong organization, attention to detail and ability to prioritize during peak service.
• Professional handling of questions, requests and service concerns, with sound judgment on escalation.
• Reliable, presentable and able to stay calm and welcoming throughout a shift.

Required skills

• Comfort using reservation systems or basic computer and point-of-sale tools.
