Head, Financial Reporting & Operations

About the role

The Head, Financial Reporting & Operations leads and oversees financial reporting and operational finance activities, ensuring accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements prepared under IFRS and statutory requirements. The role owns financial reporting, technical accounting, governance and internal controls, provides strategic financial insight to support business decisions and drives continuous improvement across reporting, taxation, treasury and revenue assurance.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and review management accounts and statutory financial statements for all entities, and drive improvements in reporting processes, systems and timelines
• Coordinate with external auditors, resolve audit observations and close internal control weaknesses
• Monitor IFRS and regulatory changes, provide technical accounting guidance and prepare technical accounting memoranda
• Strengthen internal controls, segregation of duties and compliance with delegation of authority frameworks
• Oversee treasury (cash flow forecasting, liquidity, capital structure), tax compliance and revenue assurance, and review key customer and vendor contracts
• Review and improve cash flow forecasts, financial analysis and management reporting, and support the Head of Finance Operations

Required profile

• Professional qualification such as ACA, ACCA, CA Finalist, ACMA or equivalent
• 8-10 years of progressive experience in financial reporting, audit, taxation, treasury or finance operations
• Strong exposure to IFRS, financial governance and multi-entity reporting; telecoms or large corporate experience is an advantage
