Head of Business Development - Payment Solutions

About the role

A payment solutions company in Karachi is looking for a Head of Business Development to drive revenue growth and market expansion. The role covers enterprise and strategic business opportunities with banks, FinTechs, PSPs, telcos and enterprise merchants.

Key responsibilities

• Drive business development strategy, revenue growth and market expansion
• Identify, develop and convert high-value opportunities across banks, FinTechs, PSPs, telcos and enterprise merchants
• Lead strategic client acquisition, partnerships, commercial negotiations and deal closures
• Build and manage a strong pipeline of enterprise and strategic opportunities
• Drive merchant acquisition, new business, upselling and cross-selling
• Develop and maintain senior-level relationships with key clients, partners and stakeholders
• Monitor performance, pipeline, revenue, transaction volumes and growth targets
• Lead and mentor the business development/sales team
• Work with Product, Technology, Operations, Finance and Risk teams to deliver business initiatives

Required profile

• 14-18 years of experience in Business Development, Sales, Commercial or Revenue leadership, with at least 5 years in Pakistan in a leadership role
• Strong background in Payments, FinTech, Merchant Acquiring, POS or Financial Services
• Proven track record of closing enterprise and strategic deals and delivering measurable revenue growth
• Experience managing senior client relationships, strategic partnerships and business development teams

Required skills

• Strong understanding of payment ecosystems, transaction-based business models and enterprise sales cycles
