Head of Compliance Governance

About the role

The Stream Head, Compliance Governance leads the organization’s governance, risk and compliance functions. Reporting to the SVP, this senior position ensures regulatory adherence, corporate governance, and continuous improvement of compliance processes.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the governance, management and continuous improvement of the Compliance Program, including policies, processes, systems and controls.
• Partner with stakeholders to execute compliance, conduct, risk and control governance frameworks.
• Drive compliance transformation initiatives by developing and implementing policies, procedures, tools and best practices.
• Provide expert guidance on regulatory requirements, risk management and governance matters.
• Coordinate annual compliance plans and ensure alignment with organizational objectives.
• Maintain oversight of compliance risk through assessments, monitoring and reporting.
• Design and execute compliance assurance reviews, identify breaches and escalate issues.
• Prepare Board and Compliance Committee agendas, presentations, minutes and reporting packs.
• Liaise with the Company Secretariat for timely submission of governance materials.
• Oversee regulatory reporting and closure of audit findings.

Required profile

• 6 to 8 years of relevant experience in compliance, risk or governance.
• MBA or Master’s degree in Commerce, Finance or related field.
• Professional certification such as ACCA or CA.
• Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks and corporate governance.
