Head of Finance – Strategic Financial Leadership

About the role

The Head of Finance provides strategic financial leadership, ensuring robust governance, effective internal controls, and comprehensive financial planning to support senior leadership decision‑making.

Key responsibilities

• Establish and maintain financial governance frameworks, policies, procedures and internal controls.
• Oversee treasury operations, cash flow planning, liquidity management and working capital.
• Lead annual budgeting, financial planning, reporting and variance analysis.
• Ensure compliance with statutory, regulatory and organisational financial requirements and manage financial risk.
• Coordinate internal and external audit processes and implement corrective actions.
• Drive financial systems optimisation, automation and continuous process improvement.
• Provide strategic financial advice, modelling and scenario analysis to senior leadership.
• Lead, develop and manage the finance team to achieve performance objectives.

Required profile

• Professional qualification (CA, ACCA, CIMA, CPA or equivalent).
• 8‑10+ years progressive experience in finance, accounting or related fields.
• Strong leadership, people management and stakeholder communication skills.
• Experience in complex, grant‑funded or non‑profit organisations is an advantage.

Required skills

• Proficiency with ERP and financial management systems.
• Financial systems management and process improvement expertise.
