Head of Home Remittances & International Banking

About the role

The National Bank of Pakistan is seeking a senior executive to lead its Home Remittances and International Banking division in Karachi. This role will shape the bank’s strategy for cross‑border payments, strengthen overseas partnerships, and drive growth of remittance corridors.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement strategies to increase remittance volumes and expand international corridors.
• Lead the Home Remittances business, overseeing product development, digital solutions, budgeting, and profitability management.
• Provide strategic guidance, mentorship, and performance coaching to the team to achieve business objectives.
• Engage regularly with overseas counterparts, exchange companies, and strategic partners to align initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, international payment standards, and internal risk policies.

Required profile

• Minimum 15 years of banking or financial institution experience.
• At least 5 years in a senior leadership role overseeing Home Remittances, International Business, Cross‑Border Payments, or Correspondent Banking.
• Graduation degree; Master’s degree or relevant professional certifications preferred.
• Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks, compliance standards, and international banking practices.
• Proven ability to formulate business strategy, manage budgets, and monitor performance.
