Head of Transport Network Operations

About the role

As the Head of Transport Network Operations at JazzWorld in Islamabad, you will be responsible for the overall availability, resilience and performance of the company’s transport and data‑center networks. You will lead large‑scale operations across Optical, IP, Microwave and VSAT technologies while driving transformation, automation and operational excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Lead end‑to‑end Transport and Data Center Network Operations, ensuring world‑class availability, SLA performance and service continuity across Optical, IP, Microwave and VSAT networks.
• Identify and deliver optimisation, automation and technology initiatives to improve performance, capacity, scalability and efficiency.
• Own service integration across Telco, Enterprise, IGW, Optical and Data Center networks for seamless delivery.
• Lead major incident response, root‑cause analysis and continuous improvement to reduce MTTR and eliminate recurring faults.
• Manage technology, vendor and investment decisions, including RFPs, solution evaluation, CAPEX/OPEX planning and cost optimisation.
• Ensure operational governance, resilience, redundancy and disaster‑recovery readiness while enforcing SOP/MOP compliance.
• Transform network data into actionable insights on availability, incidents, capacity and risks.
• Build and develop a high‑performing operations team through capability building, performance management and succession planning.

Required profile

• Proven senior leadership experience in large‑scale telecom network operations.
• Strong strategic thinking with commercial acumen and the ability to drive transformation.
• Demonstrated people‑leadership skills and a track record of building high‑performing teams.
• Ability to balance day‑to‑day network reliability with long‑term architectural evolution.
