Import & Export Officer – UAE Operations

About the role

We are seeking an Import & Export Officer to manage UAE‑bound shipments from our Karachi office. The role involves coordinating all aspects of import and export logistics, ensuring compliance with UAE regulations, and delivering seamless service to our customers.

Key responsibilities

• Handle end‑to‑end import and export operations for UAE shipments.
• Process Delivery Orders (D/O) via DP World and other terminal portals.
• Prepare and submit Dubai manifestation documents for both import and export.
• Coordinate shipment documentation, customs requirements, and cargo movement.
• Manage container release requests and liaise with shipping lines and terminals.
• Monitor shipment status and ensure timely execution.
• Communicate with customers, shipping lines, transporters, and terminal operators.
• Maintain operational records and ensure compliance with UAE shipping regulations.
• Collaborate with internal departments to facilitate smooth processing.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Administration or related field.
• 1–3 years of experience in UAE shipping operations.
• Strong knowledge of import/export shipment handling, Bill of Lading, manifest submission, and container release procedures.
• Excellent coordination skills with customs, terminals, and transporters.

Required skills

• Hands‑on experience with Dubai Trade Portal.
• Proficiency in Gulftainer Portal.
• Proficiency in DP World Portal.
• Experience with Dubai Manifest Processing.
• Familiarity with Climax ERP or similar shipping software.
• Use of shipping line and terminal portals.
• Import & Export documentation handling.
• Container release processing.
• Operational portal activities.
