Insurance Subject Matter Expert – AI Data Services

About the role

This hourly, remote contractor position involves acting as an Insurance Subject Matter Expert (SME) to review and create AI‑generated insurance content, ensuring high‑quality reasoning and compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Develop AI training content by creating detailed prompts and gold‑standard outputs for coverage analysis, claims scenarios, underwriting decisions, and policy communication.
• Evaluate and rank AI responses to improve correctness, completeness, clarity, and compliance‑aware reasoning.
• Test AI outputs for inaccuracies, misleading guidance, inappropriate certainty, and bias, validating reliability across use cases.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Business, Finance, Risk Management, Insurance, Law, or related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• 5+ years of professional experience in insurance (claims, underwriting, brokerage, actuarial support, risk management, compliance, or operations).
• Strong understanding of insurance fundamentals, policy structure, endorsements, limits/deductibles, and coverage triggers.
• Ability to evaluate decisions for internal consistency and handle edge cases and ambiguity.
• Excellent written communication skills in English (minimum C1 proficiency) and reliable, self‑directed work habits.
