Intern Game Developer

About the role

Numzz Tech is a software development company that creates games and digital experiences, designing UI/UX for games, websites and applications, and developing 2D, 3D and multiplayer games. It is looking for an Intern Game Developer to contribute to 2D, 3D and multiplayer game features in a remote, contract role.

Key responsibilities

• Implement gameplay mechanics
• Write and test code
• Assist with debugging and performance optimization
• Collaborate with designers and developers to turn game design concepts into functional, interactive experiences
• Document code, take part in code reviews and learn best practices in game development pipelines

Required profile

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree or training in Computer Science, Game Development or a related field (preferred)
• Good problem-solving skills, attention to detail and clear communication in English
• Ability to learn quickly, follow technical guidance and work effectively remotely

Required skills

• Strong foundation in programming and object-oriented programming (OOP)
• Experience or coursework in game programming and gameplay programming
• Understanding of game design principles and ability to support their implementation
• Basic familiarity with game engines or development tools such as Unity or Unreal Engine
