Investment Officer – Private Sector Infrastructure Finance

About the role

The Asian Development Bank is seeking an Investment Officer to join its Private Sector Infrastructure Finance Division in Islamabad. You will support the bank’s mission to alleviate poverty and promote sustainable development across the Asia‑Pacific region by facilitating private‑sector investments and technical assistance.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, develop, and process private‑sector infrastructure projects, conducting due diligence, risk analysis, and structuring of loans, equity, guarantees, or other assistance.
• Develop and review financial models, assess creditworthiness, and perform sensitivity and stress‑testing analyses.
• Prepare Concept and Final Review Memorandums, risk assessments, and other project documentation throughout the processing cycle.
• Engage with the Office of Risk Management and Safeguards Specialists to address credit and safeguard issues.
• Participate in due‑diligence missions, provide technical recommendations, and maintain comprehensive credit files.
• Contribute to strategy and planning activities for private‑sector infrastructure financing.

Required profile

• Relevant experience in private‑sector infrastructure finance, investment analysis, or related fields.
• Strong analytical abilities with a proven track record of financial modeling and risk assessment.
• Ability to work independently and coordinate with senior staff, private‑sector partners, and government agencies.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
