Senior Business Analyst

About the role

NexaQuanta is seeking a Senior Business Analyst to join a financial services engagement. You will translate adviser, compliance and operations needs into clear, actionable requirements for engineering teams.

Key responsibilities

• Lead discovery workshops with UK stakeholders to capture workflows, pain points and regulatory drivers.
• Elicit, analyse and document business and functional requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria and process flows for modules such as client onboarding, fact‑find, suitability and fee reconciliation.
• Map and re‑engineer adviser‑firm processes to identify automation opportunities and support data‑migration from legacy systems.
• Run requirements workshops, demos and UAT sessions, produce minutes and follow‑up actions.
• Maintain a prioritized backlog, support sprint planning and define API contracts and data flows for third‑party integrations.
• Champion FCA‑aligned compliance and audit‑trail requirements in all deliverables.
• Mentor junior analysts and uphold documentation quality standards.

Required profile

• 6–10 years experience as a Business Analyst or Product Analyst, with at least 3 years in fintech/wealth management.
• Hands‑on experience with financial‑adviser CRMs, wealth platforms or back‑office fintech products.
• Strong knowledge of UK wealth‑management workflows and FCA, MiFID II, Consumer Duty and GDPR regulations.
• Proven ability to write high‑quality user stories, acceptance criteria, BPMN/process flows and functional specifications.
