IT Systems & Infrastructure Support Officer

About the role

The IT Systems & Infrastructure Support Officer provides day‑to‑day IT assistance to users, offices and customers while supporting the infrastructure team across Windows, Linux, networking, VPN and server environments. The role demands strong troubleshooting abilities and timely resolution of both user and infrastructure issues.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver first and second‑level support for Windows desktops, laptops, printers and applications.
• Configure workstations, manage Microsoft 365/Entra ID accounts and resolve LAN/Wi‑Fi connectivity problems.
• Administer RHEL/Linux servers, handle user/group permissions, monitor system resources and review logs.
• Troubleshoot LAN/WAN, VPN and basic firewall issues, coordinating with network and security teams when needed.
• Support FTP/SFTP services, backup activities for email and OneDrive, and assist with data recovery.
• Maintain IT asset records, follow change and incident procedures, and participate in on‑call support.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT or a related field.
• 2–4 years of hands‑on IT support or system administration experience.
• Practical experience with Windows troubleshooting, networking and basic Linux administration.

Required skills

• Windows OS, Linux/RHEL, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, SSH, SFTP/FTP.
• Microsoft 365, Entra ID, basic Nginx/Apache knowledge.
• Fundamentals of virtualization (VMware, Hyper‑V) and Bash scripting.
• Understanding of firewalls, backup technologies and ITIL processes.
